Lou’s Pizza – Olyphant

Whether Under the Bridge or in the Gas Station – It’s Pretty Darn Good!

I’ve known about Lou’s Pizza for years. I’ve consumed many-a-slice sold at various gas station counters around NEPA and thought it was better than acceptable as far as fueling station pizza goes. I’ve followed their social media for sometime and had their pizza at luncheons and parties, but I’ve never had the pizza fresh and on location. The first lady and I were in the area for a fund raiser and ventured out on a quick journey to find the first pizzeria that I had not yet reviewed yet. We accidentally made one wrong turn across “the bridge” and ran right into Lou’s Pizza. We knew right then we had to pull in and give the place a try!

The place is pretty small and unassuming with some bright vibrant signage. It’s neat and tidy inside with a couple of tables, a modern setup, a TV that rotates pictures of all of the various gourmet pizzas they serve, and pizza boxes piled high just waiting to be filled with pizza and sent out into the world! We were on the run and eating light so we decided to go with a half tray of pizza which cost $7.40 which is an average price for a half tray of Old Forge style pizza. The friendly lady at the counter took great care of us and our pizza was ready in less than 5 minutes.
